The Gunnedah multi-sport athlete played a key role for the Tamworth 40s women as they claimed the NSW Senior State Cup title at Coffs Harbour on the weekend.
"Kate Perrett was a bit of a standout in this competition," co-coach Jason Smith said.
"She was one of our main tryscorers. She scored our first try in the final and had a great tournament."

Perrett, 49, who said sport was her outlet, planned on continuing to play locally and at a rep level.
"As long as my body holds up," she said.
"I've been very fortunate and had very few injuries in my years playing sport. I'd love to continue having a run."
Perrett was joined in the Tamworth representative side - who beat Central Coast 2-1 in the final to win the gold - by fellow Gunnedah Oztag player Casey Hatch.
A handful of other Gunnedah players also suited up for the Taipans at the tournament which turned out to be their most successful State Cup ever with the 50s men (Division 1) and 30s men (Division 2) both picking up silver.
Perrett said it was great to be playing representative oztag again following an uncertain year.
"We were supposed to go away in March but then COVID hit," she said.
"Late July, the beginning of August was looked at and then thankfully, a well coordinated event was able to go ahead on the weekend."
The over 40s side defence was solid in the final and Perrett said that was the case over the whole tournament.
"I think we were the top defending side and only had, I believe, 10 tries scored against us," she said.
After Central Coast scored the first try of the match, Tamworth hit back with a leveller and then edged clear with a second try.
Perrett said it was a team effort to claim the victory after one of their own went down.
"Unfortunately, there was an injury to one of our players and needed to be attended to," she said. "So the last two minutes were played on a different field.
She added: "Credit to our coach Jase and captain Mel who led from the front. We all played for one another and supported one another."
Other Gunnedah players to turn out for Tamworth included Piper Rankmore (open women), Darren Barton (over 50s men), Jacqui Jones and Leah Schofield (senior mixed).
