Gunnedah was hit with a storm at about 7pm on Wednesday night, which brought with it 36mm of wet stuff, according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).
The rain pelted down for a few hours, then stopped for a bit before kicking back into gear late Wednesday night and into early Thursday morning.
Keepit Dam reached 25.8 per cent on Thursday, according to Water NSW, and there was a small flow in the Namoi River as well.

BOM's weather station at Boggabri recorded 20mm, 25mm at local property 'Ruvigne', and 23mm at Mullaley.
Only 7.4mm fell in Narrabri, and 8mm at Tambar Springs, BOM data shows.
The rainfall isn't going to quit anytime soon, either, with rain forecast for most of the days this week in Gunnedah.
A shower or two is possible for the rest of Thursday, as well as a thunderstorm, which could be severe.
A small amount of rain may fall on Friday, too. There's a 40 per cent chance of this.
On Saturday, the BOM forecasts a 95 per cent chance of between 15-20mm of rain throughout the day, with a chance of a possibly severe thunderstorm.
Sunday is set to see an 80 per cent chance of 4-10mm of rainfall.
