Mr Johnston was last seen leaving the Carroll area in a Blue Ford Falcon with NSW registration AIJ79J (NSW) on Monday.
The 43-year-old man was reported missing when he failed to return home after work.

Mr Johnston was last seen wearing blue jeans, brown boots and a high-visibility shirt.
He's described as being of Caucasian appearance, with a thin build, brown hair and unshaven facial hair.
It's believed he was travelling to Tamworth, and police hold serious concerns for his welfare.
