Tambar Springs Public School
Students at Tambar Springs took part in a HealthWise hand hygiene lesson this week.
The lesson involved some science experiments that provided compelling visual evidence for the need to wash our hands.
The bread experiment involved students handling one slice of bread and keeping a control slice that had not been touched, sealing them in plastic bags and waiting for the results.
The UV light experiment involved using a special gel and UV light to reveal the bacteria on students' hands, and then checking the difference after using proper hand washing techniques.
