The drive, run by National Desexing Network, Liverpool Plains Shire Council and Quirindi Veterinary Clinic, has seen so much success it's been extended until the end of September.
To date,15 cat and five dog desexing vouchers have been issued, with more on the waiting list.
Dr Joy Verrinder said this has potentially prevented the birth of 50 pups and 180 kittens in the first year, and with 500 pups and 1800 kittens the year after.
Mayor Andrew Hope thanked the National Desexing Network and Quirindi Veterinary Clinic for partnering with council on this initiative.
"Your contribution is greatly appreciated," he said.
Designed for residents with low incomes, those in need of help should call the National Desexing Network on 1300 368 992.
A voucher will be arranged, which will then be given to the Quirindi Veterinary Clinic for the procedure to be conducted.
the vouchers cost $55 to desex a male cat and $65 for females. Any other female cats in the same household will cost an extra $50.

For dogs, owners pay between $50 and $80 toward the desexing cost, depending on size.
Desexing will also save owners from the NSW Government's requirement to pay an $80 annual permit in addition to their one-off lifetime pet registration fee for non desexed cats over four months old.
