Make a spring resolution in September to come into the library, join up, and borrow some books on spring cleaning, cooking fresh and healthy spring meals, getting back into shape after winter, starting a new hobby or course, or just plain reading for fun and enjoyment!
If you're not a member of the library, don't worry, come on in, fill out a simple form, present some form of ID, and we will make you up a card and you can borrow at once.
You're allowed three weeks for your items, and can checkout a range of fiction and nonfiction books, paperbacks, magazines and talking books, as well as DVDs and some CDs.
If being online is more your thing, don't worry, we have some platforms of books, magazines and talking books for you to borrow and read or listen to on your devices.
If you're feeling creative, the library is running , for the young and the young at heart, a Spring into September writing competition - write a limerick, a short story, a long story, a poem or an essay about Spring into September and return to the library by Friday 18 September.
Winners will be announced on Friday 25 September, and participants will have the opportunity of having their entries read and recorded for the Council Facebook page.
Going away for the school holidays?
Stop in at the library and collect a Spring into September-themed activity pack to take with you, and don't forget to take along some books to read!
See you soon at the library!
