A man has tragically lost his life and two others have been injured, one seriously, after a midnight car crash in Gunnedah.

About 1.30 on Sunday morning, emergency crews were called to Quia Road, west of McDonald Road after reports a car had crashed.
It's alleged the Mitsubishi Mirage lost control, left the road before rolling and landing on the roof.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter arrived at the scene with ASNSW Paramedics and the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team.
One 23-year-old passenger was thrown from the vehicle, according to a spokesperson for Westpac Rescue Helicopter, and was treated for several serious injuries.
Another passenger, a 23-year-old man, suffered facial fractures as a result of the impact.
Both were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken for further treatment.
One was conveyed to Gunnedah Hospital before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
The second man was in a stable condition, but was taken to Tamworth Base Hospital for further treatment.
NSW Police say the two 23-year-old passengers attempted to help the driver before emergency services arrived.

Officers from Oxley Police District have now commenced an investigation into what caused the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
