Thanks to a Local Sport Grant, the canteen facilities at the Longmuir Playing Fields are in for a facelift.
The organisation has received $1,208, which will go towards upgrading the storage cabinets and patching some holes in the canteen roof.
Vice-president Alicha Davison said the funding announcement was exciting for the volunteer canteen staff.
"We need to have those cabinets repaired and the holes patched to keep vermin out of our merchandise," Davison said.

"Sport helps our communities stay active and healthy but also performs a vital role keeping people connected," he said.
"Drought, bushfires and now the COVID-19 pandemic have created significant uncertainty for sport particularly in regional areas like Gunnedah and other communities like Manilla, Barraba, Walcha, Werris Creek, Dungowan and Tamworth."
"We are all looking forward to seeing community sport return to normal when it is safe to do so and this money will provide vital funds to help organisations like the Gunnedah Junior Rugby League be ready to resume as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted."
