The planned location of the Tamworth Solar Farm is Soldiers Settlement Road in Bective, about 25km west of Tamworth.
Sixteen submissions were made to the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE), with 11 submitted by agencies and five entered by members of the public.

Documents regarding the 200,000-panel solar farm have been on public display, and submissions for the project officially closed at midnight on Wednesday.
The condition of nearby roads was a concern raised in a number of the public submissions, which called for the whole road to be sealed between the Oxley Highway and the proposed site, for health and safety reasons.
A submission by Tamworth Regional Council also recommended further infrastructure improvements.
Another public submission indicated neighbouring landholders are concerned about the visual impacts of the solar farm and the effect on property prices.
The environmental impact statement submitted to the state government said vegetation screens will be planted around the site to address these concerns and reduce visual impacts.
A formal request for replies to submissions has now been made and the department expects this process to take one month.

The proposed solar farm will generate up to 65 megawatts and it will also have a 19-megawatt hour battery storage unit.
