The council submitted a natural disaster declaration earlier this month to be eligible, and the state government announced on Tuesday it was successful in receiving a grant.
Assistance is being provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
LPSC mayor Andrew Hope said he was "pleased this money has come through".
"It allows us to get out into the community and do the repairs that are required, and get those community assets back up to the standard for the community to be able to use them," Cr Hope said.
"Small councils are often not in a position to fund things like this so it's pleasing that these funds are available to help."

Cr Hope said the list of infrastructure that needed fixing was "extensive", so the council would tackle it on a priority basis.
"The engineers will decide what is most problematic to least problematic so that they are fixed appropriately according to risk," he said.
Emergency Services Minister David Elliott said communities experienced significant losses and disruption due to damaging winds, flooding, road closures and power outages to homes and businesses.
"The assistance ... will help cover the costs associated with the operational response and repairing damaged essential public assets, such as roads," Mr Elliott said.
Assistance available under the DRFA may include:
- help for eligible people whose homes or belongings have been damaged
- support for affected local councils to help with the costs of cleaning up and restoring damaged essential public assets
- concessional interest rate loans for small businesses, primary producers and non-profit organisations
- freight subsidies for primary producers, and
- grants to eligible non-profit organisations
