Tamarang Enterprises took out the business award and service station manager Terry Beresford said staff were "very honoured".
"We take pride in what we do and give back to the community - locals help locals," he said.
Recipients of medical grants were also announced by CWA president Colleen Wills who said the initiative was to "support and encourage our young people" and hopefully, "bring them back to the country".
Recipient Chloe Barwick said it was the third year she had received support for her study in diagnostic radiography at the University of Newcastle.
"It's really generous and really helping out young people in the area," she said.
Quirindi Arts and Craft Shop was one of the supporting businesses and representative Brendan McNamara said "a little bit of money like this can go a long way to help our students".
More than $4500 was awarded at the event and Mrs Wills said it was something the businesses were still happy to support.
"They know it's going straight back into the town. It's spent locally, and people like that," she said.
