Gunnedah Shire Council said the fees will be waived for the whole month of January to provide some "much-needed relief" in the schools holidays, and a cost-free activity for families "that may be struggling with this drought".
The 50m pool is scheduled to reopen on New Year's Day after repairs were carried out to fix a leak, which was traced to the movement joint seal.
The fee waiver is thanks to the NSW Regional School Holiday Activities Grant Program.
Last week, Narrabri Shire Council decided to waive pool entry fees at its three pools, including Boggabri, until February.
