There was an increase in supply with calves, cows and yearlings well represented. There was an increased penning of bulls, while well finished heavy steers and heifers were scarce. Overall the quality of the offering was mixed. There were good numbers of well finished heavyweight cows.

Restockers and processors competed strongly on the calves with the market trend firm to slightly dearer.
There were restocker premiums for the male portion. Light and medium weight yearling steers to restock and feed sold to slightly cheaper trends.
The disparity between the plainer quality D muscles and the C muscles not as great. Heavy feeder steers sold on a firm to dearer trend with breed contributing.
The lightweight yearling heifers to restockers also sold to cheaper trends, again the price differential between the plainer quality and better heifers not as great.
Heifers suitable to feed saw a dearer trend of 4c to 8c/kg with increased demand. Well finished heifers to the trade were mostly firm.
An improved quality penning of heavy grown steers experienced strong price gains on a dearer market trend. The limited supply of well finished heifers were also dearer. Plainer quality grown heifers suitable to feed sold to dearer trends.
