The Quirindi and Werris Creek HSS units organise lots of events for eligible clients and provide services that assist aged residents to remain in their own homes.
"The HSS coordinates meals on wheels services and have busy monthly calendars that include lunch days for ladies, carers and men, day outings for ladies and men, movie days, craft days, shopping and medical appointment buses and weekly trips to the hydro pool," Quirindi HSS unit coordinator Kirsty Power said.

As an example, the HSS October men's day out visited Gunnedah Rural Museum, and then had lunch at the Grand Elixxa Hotel.
Ms Power said the HSS was available to support residents from anywhere in the shire and wasn't restricted to those in the urban areas.
"The service also organises annual trips away, Christmas parties and other events that provide activity and social connection, improving quality of life for clients," she said.
Those who are interested in seeing if they are eligible to be part of the HSS program are encouraged to drop into the Quirindi or Werris Creek office.
They can also call 6746 4545 or 6768 7505 respectively to find out more.
