Mackellar Care Services chief executive officer Wayne Snelson, Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson, and Hunter New England Health's (HNEH) executive director rural and regional health services Susan Heyman met on Thursday to discuss what could be done to re-open the centre.
While he couldn't tell the Namoi Valley Independent just what these "options" were, Mr Snelson said they had numerous ideas on what to do.
"We're working on them and hoping to have a resolution on those by the end of the month," he said.
"We thought we'd catch up to look at what's in play and what sort of strategies we need to look at moving forward."

He said Mackellar Care Services was also continually working with the Rural Doctors Network.
Mr Anderson said his focus would be to continue to provide the best health services for the residents of Gunnedah.
"I will continue to do everything I can to work to attract doctors to Gunnedah and the meeting with ... Wayne Snelson and Susan Heyman was very productive."
Ms Heyman said even though HNEH wasn't directly involved with the workings of the clinic, she was "grateful to be invited to contribute to the discussions on behalf of the district".
The Mackellar Rural Health Centre has closed temporarily due to a lack of GP.
Locum Dr Alice Wu had her last day at the clinic on Friday. She was unable to remain because she had "other commitments".
