Guy Gallen's online selling platform FarmGate Auctions will host its maiden sale on October 8.
The sale will be the first of weekly sales, which will give stakeholders the opportunity to both sell and buy cattle via a mobile phone app.
Launching the app in competition to the long-standing AuctionsPlus, Mr Gallen said the inaugural sale was an exciting development for the industry.
"We have been really pleased with the feedback we have received from stakeholders so far," Mr Gallen said.
"So far, we have had some really good numbers show interest for the first sale including 100, 2017 drop Hereford Heifers from the Banoon herd.
"Hopefully, we should attract even more buyers and sellers and hopefully reach around 30 lots to start with.
"We aren't looking to go too big with this first sale, but we are really happy with how it has progressed so far."

Mr Gallen said the major benefit of the app would be "to give choice" to stakeholders.
"For a long time there has only really been one option in terms of online sales and that's AuctionsPlus," he said.
"However, we couldn't be anymore different to AuctionsPlus.
"For one thing our sales are timed so that if people do miss out, there is time for them to buy another lot if they so wish.
"What we have done is taken that overall principle and improved the technology around it to provide stakeholders with the best possible experience."
In preparation for the weekly sales, Mr Gallen said his team would be looking to expand their network.
"We have actually just hired a man named Jock Goss to be on the ground for us in South Australia to help take care of the southern states for us," he said.
"Our first month will be just cattle sales, but from there we will be expanding into weekly sheep sales as well.
"It's certainly coming along quite well at this stage and we're confident we can continue to gain some momentum over the coming weeks."
Listings for the inaugural sale open on September 28 at 1pm.
