Narrabri Shire Council will open the pool for seven days from October 26 to December 15 from 12pm-6pm because of demand from user groups who wanted access after school and outside standard working hours.
The pool will also remain open into the April school holidays.

Community facilities manager Evan Harris said the council would only trial the longer hours until the end of October to stay "operationally sustainable" because last year cooler temperatures reduced visitation.
"The change is only a few weeks later than usual and will provide access to aquatic facilities across the shire later in the summer season, which is in line with the opening requirements patrons have expressed with council," he said.
From December 16, 2019 to April 17, 2020, the pool will be open from 1pm to 7pm.
The council may extend hours during spells of hot weather and high patronage or close the facility during inclement weather or low patronage.
They will monitor also light levels when daylight saving kicks in on April 5, 2020 and may close the pool if daylight levels become unsafe.
