Carinya Christian School
On Thursday afternoons, Carinya Christian School's year 2 to year 7 students enjoy their interest electives.
Currently, junior school students get to choose from cooking, art/sports, and coding. Middle school students have a choice of cooking, photography/digital media and electronics.
These afternoons mean students can learn different skills while also getting to know students from other year groups.
Gunnedah Public School
Students at Gunnedah Public School who receive five value stickers have the chance to enjoy a reward afternoon taking part in activities they choose.
On Monday, students got to choose from hair/nails, woodwork, cooking or sport activities.
Gunnedah Public School also introduced some Early Bird students. Twenty-eight local kids are enrolled to start kindergarten at the school in 2020, and this week they practiced writing, counting, reading and playing cooperatively.
These afternoons mean students can learn different skills while also getting to know students from other year groups.
