"Our community has been doing it tough during this extended time of drought. It is impacting on everyone, from our farming families to our small businesses and community groups," Gunnedah shire mayor Jamie Chaffey said.
"This is an opportunity for us all to come together in a show of hope and faith and jointly pray for rain. By standing together, we can support each other during this difficult time, and our voice can only be stronger.
"This is our fourth part of a continuing focus on council working with the minister's fraternal. We know the importance of making these opportunities available to the community. I invite all our community members to add their voices to this prayer."
