The academy is aiming for an 80 per cent strike rate but it's hearing more success stories along the way.
New England Clontarf employment officer Ross Fraser said a recent careers forum would give the students crucial networking and interview opportunities.

About 30 students from Oxley, Inverell, Narrabri and Quirindi got together to talk with local and national employers about the available opportunities.
There were representatives a number of local organisations.
"We had three of our alumni come along; they got apprenticeships with Essential Energy and they shared their experience and journey," Mr Fraser said.
