Gunnedah Shire Council's youth development officer Ellen Valler accompanied the young people, aging from 12-22, to experience the summit.
"Friendships were formed and older ones looked after the younger ones but they all valued each other opinions so that was really positive," Ms Valler said.
"It's a fantastic opportunity for young people to go because it's so youth-focused."
The theme of this year's summit was 'Dangerous Ideas', which focused on thinking big, daring to dream, and taking calculated risks to achieve success.
Ms Valler said this provided "different ideas" which the youth could now apply to their new positions on Gunnedah Youth Council.
"It was about being yourself, overcoming adversity, getting involved with the community, and pursuing their dreams [so] ... they'll be able to apply those skills to what they'll be doing on the youth council," she said.
The young representatives were also treated to a martial arts class, a dance and performance class, and an open mic night after summit hours.
Speakers at this year's summit included biomedical engineer Dr Jordan Nguyen, science commentator Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, magician and illusionist Cosentio, and Indigenous Marathon Project's Nat Heath.
