On Friday, Gunnedah High School students dressed in house colours of red, blue, green and yellow for the annual athletics carnival.
Participation was the key focus of the day and there was plenty of fun to be had.
Gunnedah Public School's stage one students enjoyed a music lesson with Julia Rennick, testing out instruments including drums and xylophones.

They have also been learning about division, practising sharing and making equal groups, and working on developing their writing skills and practising for their NAIDOC Week performance.
In the school grounds, the new chickens are busy laying and the gardens are flourishing.
Boggabri Public School students recently competed in the boys and girls PSSA basketball knockouts in Tamworth.
The two teams were knocked out of the competition but showed fantastic sportsmanship and are looking forward to next year's competition.
