The instrumental section wrapped up on Tuesday after three days of competition, and the music section started on Wednesday.
The instrumental competition was adjudicated by Sydney's James Brice who has been conducting, teaching and performing for almost 30 years.

Gunnedah Eisteddfod Society co-convenor Marg Amos said Mr Brice was "blown away with the standard and the quality of play".
"He was complimenting their tone and complex rhythmic abilities and the level of difficulty of pieces that were being played. He especially mentioned that in the 12 years and under," Mrs Amos said.
"It was encouraging to see people taking on board comments because the standard improved as the days went on.
"It was very successful in all aspects."
Gunnedah Shire Band members cleaned up in the championships on Monday night, with Katelin Bush, Oscar King, and Mary and Harry Grant winning their age groups. Katelin scored 98 out of 100 points.
Band master Laurence Rowe said he was pleased that the members actively participated in the local eisteddfod.
"The eisteddfod is a great opportunity for them and it's certainly going to better their playing," he said.
"To be a musician, you've got to be able to get up and perform in front of people and the more you do it, the easier it gets."
