Newly-formed Independent party 'The Together Party' will be hosting an open discussion night in Gunnedah tomorrow night.

The event will be held at the Courthouse Hotel from 6pm-7.30pm with senate candidates to discuss with locals their thoughts on issues affecting the nation.

Candidates for the party are Mark Swivel, Belinda Kinkead, and Kate McDowell, who are aiming to secure a NSW in the federal senate.
"We believe in good people doing good things in their communities and it is time for these people to have a go in government," party founder Mark Swivel said.
"[We are] a party with its foundation firmly based on human rights above all - always."
Some of the issues the party supports includes a climate economy powered by renewables; homes for all Australians; action on corporate tax evasion; dental on Medicare; better arts funding; and free University and TAFE.
The team of three will also visit Tamworth City Bowls Club on Wednesday, May 1 from 1pm-2.30pm.
