An "unusual" break and enter occurred at a home on Jaegar Avenue on Friday, according to Gunnedah police.

The crime was committed between 8am-4pm on April 12, while the occupants of the home were out.
According to police, entry was gained to the house and a number of items were stolen, including personal clothing, a laptop, a small amount of cash and some cards.

Gunnedah police's Inspector Michael Wurth said this was an "unusual" crime as it occurred in broad daylight.
Mr Wurth said evidence was being examined by forensic police and that investigations were ongoing.
