THE Quirindi Community has come together to raise funds for young people in full-time care during the annual Quirindi Canter event.
Featuring a cycling and running challenge, the annual event drew in competitors from across the region, all with the goal of raising much-needed funds.
Now in its eighth year, the Quirindi Canter originally started as a walk and fun run, but five years ago a charity bike ride component was added to the mix.
Currently the event features a a 5km run, 10km run, community walk, charity bike ride and junior bike ride, plus associated activities such as raffles and games.
Quirindi's Henry Street Oval was a buzz with activity during the annual event, as the community came together to raise money for a worthy cause.
