Gunnedah Shire Council will host the harvest feast on the banks of the Namoi River, thanks to a $17,000 grant under round three of the federal government's Building Better Regions Fund.

Parkes MP Mark Coulton said the event would showcase Gunnedah's regional produce.
"This will be a great celebration of community and regional produce," Mr Coulton said.
"I have no doubt both Gunnedah locals and visitors to the area will be excited to find out what this event is all about.
"I'm excited to see the great difference this event will make to the community."

Gunnedah mayor Jamie Chaffey welcomed the grant announcement.
"This festival will be a celebration of our shire and a chance to showcase our local growers and producers," Cr Chaffey said.
"This event will provide a boost to our local economy, while demonstrating what the region has to offer."
It will be held in March 2020.
