A modified vehicle would aid Lucy's mother Amy in taking her to medical appointments, GS Kidd Memorial School, and social events.
Gunnedah Preschool donated $5000 to the cause this week after seeing an article about the campaign in NVI. Lucy lives across the road from the preschool and has spent time there with fellow GS Kidd students.
"We've got a really good connection with GS Kidd and we felt it was something close to our hearts," Gunnedah Preschool director Kate Olsen said.
"We wanted to give something back to someone who really deserves it."
Lucy's mother said she was "still in shock".
"The pre-school is such a wonderful, supportive environment and so welcoming," Ms Elton said.
"Lucy and I are quite new to the community but it's nice to know our neighbors are looking out for us and lending a hand.
"Their generosity is far beyond what we'd ever expect."
Ms Elton and Lucy recently moved to Gunnedah to allow Lucy to attend school and be closer to Lucy's grandparents, all of whom reside in the Coonabarabran district. The GoFundMe page was started by Lucy's aunties.
