Gunnedah local Gus Etheridge attended the event with some of his mates, but when asked if he won any awards, he was a little disappointed.
"No good, I didn't even get a mention," Gus said.

Despite the lack of winnings, Gus said he still had a great time at the annual event.
"It was definitely a good turnout, and it's only going to keep growing," he said.
"I had a blast [though]. Can’t go wrong with a few cold beers and a good bunch of people."
Many categories were entered by mullet-sporting men and women from around the globe, including best ranga mullet, most extreme mullet and grubbiest mullet.
The Mulletfest event also took donations for the Mark Hughes Foundation, to support research into treatments for brain cancer; they raised more than $5000.
Mulletfest will be held again at the Chelmsford Hotel in Kurri Kurri next year, on February 29.
