Member for Parkes Mark Coulton said the grant was funded under round four of the Coalition Government's Stronger Communities Programme (SCP).
“This grant is an excellent investment in an important community asset in Gunnedah,” Mr Coulton said.
“Sunnyfield plays a crucial role in the local area by supporting people with intellectual disability [and] this kitchen upgrade will help ensure Sunnyfield continues to be an accessible and welcoming local support service.”
As part of the SCP, a maximum of 20 projects would be funded in each electorate, with successful applicants receiving a grant between $2,500 and $20,000.
