The fact that the Tamba Industrial Bulls are winless heading into their penultimate-round Twenty20 clash against the Imperial Hotel Tigers, at Kitchener Park on Friday night, is a source of bewilderment for Bulls co-captain Cameron Milne.
To hear him describe the Bulls' misfortunes is to be reminded of Murphy's law: "Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong."
"Nothing's gone right of us," Milne said. "We've just been … yeah. I don't know what the word is for it. It's been a while since I've been in a side that nothing seems to go right."
At that point, Milne burst into laughter.
The second-placed Tigers, meanwhile, immediately rebounded from their only loss of the competition, with a one-wicket win over the third-placed Sign Print Stitch Stars last week.
The Stars and the first-placed McDonalds Chargers play the earlier match at Kitchener Park on Friday.
