Flickerfest remains a platform for celebrating the most entertaining and innovative short filmmaking from Australia and around the world. Flickerfest returns to The Civic with the Best of Australian Short Films and the Best of International Short Films from across the world. This is a one-off chance to see these amazing short films before they continue their journey around the world. Best of Oz: 2.30pm-4.30pm. Best of Comedy: 5pm-7pm. Tickets are $40 for both screenings or $35 concession (includes canapés and bubbly on arrival); or $25 per single session. NSW SENIORS FESTIVAL
Join organisations in Gunnedah for a week-long celebration of our seniors. From library events and movie mornings, to luncheons and concerts, there is something for everyone in a jam-packed week of activities. The official opening is on Monday, February 18 at 9am at the Smithurst Theatre. Events include social bowls, a Carroll Public School morning tea, a Men’s Shed morning tea, a church service, a mystery bus tour, lunch at the Railway Hotel, a movie screening, Day for the Devils and an Elysian Performing Arts concert fundraiser. INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY EXHIBITION
Gunnedah Bicentennial Creative Arts Gallery is calling for artworks to contribute to Gunnedah's celebrations for 2019 International Women's Day. This year's theme is #BalanceForBetter. In 2019, the gallery will host an exhibition using the theme, with gold coin entry fees donated to White Ribbon Australia. All submissions are to be delivered to the gallery by 5pm, Friday, March 1 with completed forms. Forms are available at the Gunnedah Visitor Information Centre and Gunnedah Bicentennial Creative Arts Gallery, Chandos Street, Gunnedah. The exhibition will officially open at 6pm on Friday, March 8.
