Gunnedah High School’s house teams went head-to-head at a swimming carnival on Friday.
Illawarra, Kaputar, Moonbi and Nandewar battled it out in the pool and wore their colours with pride on the land.
Students applied yellow, blue, rd and green zinc to their skin and dressed up in wigs, tights, angel wings, onesies and leis to showcase their house colours.
Year 12 brought along inflatable pool toys and raced in the pool, with students vying for the win on donuts, hot dogs, shells and flamingos. There were also belly flop competitions and a continuous relay for house points.
“I think the kids who were there had a great day,” carnival coordinator Adam Mooney sai.
“There was plenty of good novelties, which made a bit more fun compared to your traditional competitive races.”
Kaputar won the day, followed by Nandewar, Moonbi and Illawarra.
