The funding will go towards the installation of a container-type amenities block with toilets and showers, and the refurbishment of an on-site bore to supply water to irrigate the playing field.
A Liverpool Plains Shire Council spokesperson said the council is proud of the various developments that had taken place at David Taylor Oval over time.
“This includes the new Ron Dellar grandstand which was opened last year, new PA system, disabled access, and a new storage shed,” the spokesperson said.
“Council looks forward to being able to use the new funding to further improve facilities as per the wishes of the Werris Creek community.”

Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson said the upgrades could provide some extra tourism for the small town.
“The provision of modern amenities at David Taylor Oval will promote the area as a stopover point for tourists visiting the local attractions ... and encourage the use of the camp ground by overnight and day visitors to the region,” Mr Anderson said.
The upgrades would mean extra facilities for sports players, as well.
“[The] oval is used for inter-regional rugby league games but currently has no shower amenities available for players and limited toilets for visitors to the ground,” he said.
“When the new amenities ... are in place they will provide competitors with much needed change rooms with showers, and complement other recent upgrades to the grandstand, commentary box and public-address system.”
