The third round of the program is now open for applications to help support the wishes of locals who may need a helping hand growing their business, or to get a new business on its feet.
Gunnedah shire mayor Jamie Chaffey said the program helped support growth initiatives, which led to increased employment and output.
“We are open to fresh, new ideas to grow your business and bring economic expansion to our shire,” Cr Chaffey said.
Types of assistance under the program include, but are not limited to, start-up costs, website or technology updates, training, support, and business expansion.
Since the program’s inception, the council has provided more than $100,000 in funding to local businesses, including Kinfolk Student Cafes, Provincial Printery, and Annie’s Kitchen.
More information, including application forms, can be found at the council’s website. Applications close on February 28.
