The $8.2 million police station project consists of two buildings – an administration building, which was completed mid-year, and a holding facility, which is yet to be completed.
Works were still ongoing when the station was officially opened on December 11 last year.
The holding facility will include a secured van dock, two large cells, a number of docks, an interview room and a meeting room. Workers are also constructing a secure, enclosed walkway from the holding facility to Gunnedah Court House.
“Gunnedah works including the covered walkway to the courts will be completed by early February 2019,” a NSW Police spokesperson told the NVI on Friday.
