On New Year’s Day, we hit the road.
That sentiment will be running deep for plenty of punters from all over the North West who will make the annual pilgrimage to Wallabadah to kick off the new year on Tuesday.
The race meeting always brings in a big crowd and has done since it was first held in 1852.

This year will see a jumping castle and face painting for the kids while Rodney the Clown will be roaming about spreading smiles and laughs.
There is a bar and food stalls as well as ice-cream to keep everyone cool.
Punters can dress up and enter the Fashion of the Fields Competition or participate in the Stick-Horse Race – a big hit at its inaugural 2018 run. Head along and enjoy the the thrill of a country race meeting.
