Severe storms are on the cards for Thursday as a cold front moves across regional NSW.
With widespread rain, residents should remember their brollies, Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist Anita Pyne said.
“It’s showery on Wednesday with the potential for some storm activity to develop around the New England area,” she said.
“We’re expecting a few millimetres of rain, but if you are underneath the storm there could be heavier falls.
“Late Thursday and Friday is our best chance of a big drink for New England.”
Temperatures are predicted to reach 30 degrees on Wednesday, 31 on Thursday and a top of 27 Friday with showers clearing by the weekend.
