There was plenty happening at the Tamworth Jockey Club on Tuesday as Melbourne Cup day rolled around.
It all started in the morning with the Tamworth Business Chamber’s annual Melbourne Cup Breakfast where Dan Missen produced a phantom call that was right on the money.
From there, the day rolled into the Tamworth Jockey Club’s race meeting.

It was hot and it was windy but that didn’t stop punters heading to the Tamworth Jockey Club dressed in their absolute best.
The Fashions on the Field drew in plenty of racegoers as well.
“It’s a great day and we're very happy with numbers,” Tamworth Jockey Club general manager Kay Jeffrey said.
“We’re appreciative of everyone that has battled through the heat and supported our club.”
