State pride will be on the line as the players, playing in four different sides, look for glory against the nation’s best veteran cricketers.
Tamworth cricketer Greg Kellett will line up for NSW’s second team when it kicks off it’s campaign against Queensland.
“I’m really looking forward to it,” Kellett said.
“The Saturday night beforehand will be used as a meet and greet event before the competition starts on Sunday.
“While it is nice to catch up with guys you have played with and against over the years, it is even nicer to win for your state.”

The 13th annual event will showcase some of the country’s best veteran cricketers, including ex-Sheffield Shield cricketers.
“There will certainly be some good cricketers going around,” Kellett said.
“I think we will have to be on our toes when it comes to playing some of the better players.”
Kellett said rivalries between different states “will be on for all to see”.
“When you play a team from Victoria for example, there is never any quarter given,” he said.
“Those storied rivalries are always there and really do make representing your state so much more special.
“However, when the game is over the beauty of these competitions is you come together, shake your opponents hand and have a drink together afterwards.”
The championships will be held in Penrith from November 11 to 15.
