One of a Kind is officially open for business.
Gunnedah’s newest op shop opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, with locals making their way to the Barber Street location to check out what was on offer.
The new store has a main clothing section inside the front doors, a formal wear room, book room and furniture room. Out the back is a workshop where Work for the Dole participants made fittings for the store including a bookcase, and regularly construct items such as dog kennels and picnic tables.
Store manager Meredith Robinson was run off her feet with the influx of customers and said she was excited about the new venture.
“We’ve had a great turnout today,” she said on Tuesday.
“People are keen for another quirky shop.”

One of a Kind chief executive officer Wayne Richards said the association was “looking forward to serving the Gunnedah community”.
“This will be our ninth store and the niche market we support is the long-term unemployed,” he said.
“We didn’t want to be a duplicate of what other not-for-profit were doing so we found the best way to give community support is to help people on the path to employment.
“We try and respond to the local job agencies’ needs.”
Mr Richards said the space had “come up very nicely” and he was "delighted” to see the store open.
One of a Kind is located at 72 Barber Street, Gunnedah and is open Monday to Friday from 9am-4pm.
