
The library’s Spring Book Sale is still in full swing. Books are being renewed each day, so come along and grab a bargain.
Books are $2 each, and paperbacks and magazines are 20c each.
Books are available in all genres – fiction, non-fiction, biographies and children’s books.
This week, the library delivers bags of books to the Housebound library clients.
If you, or anyone you know, are unable to make it to the library due to illness or lack of transport, you can sign up for the library’s Housebound service.
Simply fill out a form stating your preferences - normal print, large print or talking books - the genres you prefer and how many books you would like.
The library staff will select the books and deliver them to your home. Just come in or ring the library on 6740 2190 for more information or to sign up for this wonderful and free service.
Lots of new titles have been added to the stock this week.
Among the new books include The Cutting Edge, a thriller by Jeffrey Deaver, an author described as “a master of crafting intricate crimes that are solved through guile, tenacity and sheet creative genius”.
The Moscow Deception by Karen Robards is The Guardian series book two and is sure to keep you turning the pages to follow the adventures of Bianca St Ives, con-woman and thief.
Boy Swallows Universe is by Australian author Trent Dalton and is a contemporary fiction novel set in Brisbane.
Fans of facts have two new books to absorb. Informaniac: Become an Expert in an Hour by Stuart Derrick and Charlotte Goddard, includes more than 4500 facts about things ranging from inventions, how the universe works to the future!
There is also Guinness World Records: Science & Stuff. This book is also divided into categories and includes information about 10 experiments to try at home.
