POLICE are seeking the public’s help to find a brazen wheelbarrow bandit after several overnight thefts from vehicles.
Police are asking anyone who saw people walking with a wheelbarrow and two ladders along Links Road at 5am on Wednesday to come forward.
The call for witnesses comes after items such as tools, phones and other valuable items were stolen from vehicles parked on Links Road, Lincoln Street and George Street.
Gunnedah’s Sergeant Mark Benson said the incidents were a timely reminder for people to secure their property.
“Unfortunately it appears these thefts have been opportunistic,” Sergeant Benson said.
“They appear to have targeted vehicles that were unlocked and have taken several items.
“So it is crucial that people take proper security measures and secure their valuables.”
