Gunnedah Public School has won the latest round of Greater Bank’s #GreaterNewEngland community funding program thanks to the public vote.
Their involvement in these extracurricular activities will not only assist to further their education but make students feel more involved and provide rewarding experiences.
The school will receive $3000 and runners-up Gunnedah Riding for the Disabled and Arts Gunnedah will receive $1000 each.
“Gunnedah Public School is a key institution within the Gunnedah community and it is heart-warming to see them go above and beyond to ensure all students have access to educational and rewarding experiences,” Greater Bank’s regional manager Jennifer Smith said.
Voting is now open for the September #GreaterNewEngland funding round with Gunnedah Eisteddfod Society and Gunnedah Meals on Wheels up for public vote until September 26.
“Voting is simple and can be done either online at greater.com.au/greaternewengland or by dropping in to one of our branches,” Mrs Smith said.
“It doesn’t take long to submit your vote, but collectively the effort you make will mean a lot to the winning organisation in terms of the programs and services they are able to offer the community.”
Greater Bank is also calling for nominations for future funding rounds. Community groups can do so by visiting greater.com.au/greaternewengland or via social media by using the hashtag #GreaterNewEnglandand and telling the bank in 100 words or less how the organisation is helping to improve lives of locals.
