HOPE, support and community spirit were high on the agenda for the 21st annual mayoral breakfast on Thursday morning.
Hosted by Gunnedah mayor Jamie Chaffey, locals from across the Gunnedah community gathered to connect and hear from guest speaker Dominic Steele.
Cr Chaffey said the event was always a highlight of the year.
“These kinds of events are always so important for our community,” Cr Chaffey said.
“Especially in times such as these, where we as a community are facing the challenges that come with being in drought.”
The Gunnedah mayor said it was important for the community to continue to support each other and work towards a positive future.
“As a community it is important we look out for each other,” he said.
“Having members of the local ministerial sector with us today is terrific because it allows people in need a chance to connect and get the support they need.”
