TAMWORTH MP Kevin Anderson was on hand for the opening day of AgQuip on Tuesday and he was not alone.
Flanked by several other state Nationals members, Mr Anderson was on hand to welcome visitors to the region and answer any questions visitors had.
Mr Anderson said one topic dominated conversation throughout the day.
“There’s no doubt the subject of the drought has been a common one today,” Mr Anderson said.
“People have been coming to me to share their stories, ask some questions and find out what support is available, which to me is the best part about these events.
“The beauty of these events is you can be just outside of your stand and people will come and have a chat.”
The Tamworth MP said more Nationals members would be visiting the stand throughout the event.
“We have had quite a few along with us here today including Adam Marshall, Sarah Mitchell and Niall Blair and there will be plenty more over the coming days,” he said.
“I want to encourage anyone who visits AgQuip over the coming days to come and say hello and ask us any questions they may have.
“That’s why we are here.”
