Despite going down 5-3 to Oxley Vale Attunga, coach Richard Grant was pleased with the effort and thought Cheetham’s goals was just deserts for the attacking weapon.
“It was very entertaining and there was lots of goals,” Grant said.
“Harley Cheetham, he’s just so bloody handy.
“He got a hat-trick and that was great to see.
“When he hasn’t played this year, we’re down a couple of classes.”

The return of Shane Roberts, who’s had limited appearances in 2018 due to work, helped United.
“This competitions suits him. He’s physical, strong and tall,” Grant said of Roberts.
“When he got there, he made it 11 on the park for us. They’d already scored already when he got there which was shame.
“Take that goal away and it’s 4-3.”
Grant also said Dale Roberts, Nick Hawke and Anthony Rowe were strong again while one of the young brigade played well.
“Young Jim Pease went well,” Grant said.
“With school holidays and suspension, he didn’t play for four or five weeks.
“He’ll feature much more prominently for us next year. He’s just a good kid, who’ll go from strength to strength. He’s got pace and he’s tough.”
Reserve grade suffered another blow when they went down 7-1.
“The wheels have just fallen off there which is a real shame,” Grant said.
“Anyone that puts their hand up to play team sports have to show a decent amount of commitment and we’ve had some genuine excuses and some poor ones as well.
“It’s the poor ones that let the club down.”
