The duo both competed in the Newcastle Permanent Tamworth Ten at the Tamworth Running Festival on Sunday morning.
Both runners finished on top in their categories – Loveridge in the male 40-49 division and Watson in the female 30-39 division – at the event which started and finished at Tamworth No. 1 Oval.

Watson clocked in the eighth fastest time in the event with a 39:46 and was also the first female across the line.
Only one other runner beat Loveridge home on Sunday.
Mason Scott took out the event in a time 33:15 while Loveridge was second overall with a time of 34:44.
The PRD Realty Half Marathon and the Tamworth Shopping World Fun Five were also run on the day.
In the half marathon, Mike Carroll took out the win in a time of 1:12:56.
In the fun five, there was a sprint to the finish with just six seconds separating the first two across the line – Jeremy Boller and Ben Abell.
Boller claimed the win with a time of 18:06.
