TIPS to help local businesses will be at the top of the agenda when the Deputy Prime Minister, Michael McCormack visits Gunnedah on June 22.
Along with Parkes Federal Member, Mark Coulton and Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson, the Nationals leader will address a breakfast hosted at the Gunnedah Services and Bowling Club by the Gunnedah and District Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mr Coulton told The Namoi Valley Independent he and Mr McCormack (the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport) will be arriving in the shire immediately following a parliament sitting.
“Myself and and the Deputy Prime Minister are really looking forward to attending the breakfast,” Mr Coulton said.
“There will be a strong focus on local business and I think the event will provide those in attendance a good chance to hear some advice about local business and government and answer any questions they have.”
Gunnedah and District Chamber of Commerce and Industry vice president Michael Broekman said the breakfast was a rare chance for the community to meet their elected leaders.
“From the chamber’s perspective, we hope that our local business people take advantage of this opportunity to hear from the Deputy Prime Minister and ask any questions they may have,” Mr Broekman said.
“It really is a great chance for us to hear some tips and hopefully have a chance to talk face-to-face with our leaders.”

“Also, on behalf of the chamber we really want to thank Mark Coulton and Kevin Anderson for helping to push this along and make it happen.”
