GUNNEDAH police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding a pesticide spill on Connadilly Street last Thursday.

CCTV footage is currently being reviewed by police as they continue to investigate the matter.
A Gunnedah police spokesperson told The Namoi Valley Independent investigators were working hard to bring a resolution to the case.
“We are currently reviewing the CCTV footage from around the scene and continuing our investigations,” the spokesperson said.

“There were a number of people in the footage seen by investigators and at this stage we have one person of interest.
“At this stage we don’t really want to put a time frame on a resolution of the case but we are currently continuing with our inquiries.”
It is believed the spill occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning when drums of pesticide were taken from the back of a parked truck on Conadilly Street and spread over the road, footpath and another truck parked nearby.
